WHO WE ARE

The SADC de Matagami is a non-profit organization, established in 1987. It is managed by a Board of Directors composed of five community members and financially supported by Canada Economic Development.

The SADC de Matagami provides services to communities and businesses within its territory.

OUR MISSION

SADC de Matagami’s mission is to empower communities to participate in shaping their future. This mission is carried out through the development of a community vision for the future, and through activities that facilitate concerted action and partnership. It helps communities in its territory to adapt and plan their human resources needs, thereby supporting entrepreneurship and job creation through technical and financial services.

OUR TERRITORY

The SADC de Matagami covers part of the territory of the municipality of Eeyou Istchee Baie-James, specifically the area west of the Ontario border, James Bay as far east as the 76th meridian and from the 49th parallel south to the 55th parallel north. The SADC de Matagami covers this territory, but does not service the communities of Villebois, Valcanton and Lebel-sur-Quévillon.
